Job summary

ZS Associates is seeking a Computational Modeling Expert to apply first-principles, mechanistic, and AI/ML methods to pharmaceutical CMC challenges. You will collaborate with scientists, data teams, and senior stakeholders to translate complex questions into scalable computational solutions that integrate into manufacturing workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma CMC or process development, strong programming skills, and experience leading technical workstreams in a hybrid work

Qualifications

PhD or master's degree with strong quantitative background.
Hands-on experience with first-principles or mechanistic models (CFD, DEM, computational chemistry).
Experience applying AI/ML to scientific or process development problems.

Responsibilities

Identify high-value opportunities for modeling across process development and tech transfer.
Develop first-principles and AI/ML models for pharmaceutical CMC contexts.
Translate modeling results into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Lead multiple technical workstreams and collaborate across disciplines.
Ensure production-ready modeling solutions with documentation and lifecycle management.
