Job summary

Avecia Pharma is seeking a Chemist for the Small Scale OliGrow team to execute chemistry and related activities for manufacturing, packaging and shipping OliGrow oligonucleotides according to company processes.

You will operate manufacturing equipment, produce OliGrow products from start to finish, and maintain a clean lab while adhering to EH&S policies. 2+ years in pharma chemistry and proficiency with Word/Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry with 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience or MS degree in Chemistry.
• Experience working in a chemical laboratory setting in industry or academia.
• Proficient with Word and Excel software.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment according to procedures in place in the OliGrow unit.
• Manufacture OliGrow products from start to freeze-drying.
• Perform routine maintenance according to the defined procedure.
• Document work according to OliGrow documentation best practices.
• Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
• Adhere to all environmental health and safety policies.
