Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers between the yard and doors and to assist with loading and unloading packages. This role requires alertness, adherence to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Shifts typically start between 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM and run for 3 to 6 hours, with potential variations by daily package volume. A valid CDL is preferred but not required, and accommodations are available upon request.
Responsible for the movement of trailers to and from the unload / load doors and throughout the yard. May also be responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
In addition to the above essential functions, Switchers may also be required to perform Package Handler essential functions as follows:
Operating a specialized yard tractor, you hook, move, and position 48-foot and 53-foot trailers . Your primary responsibility is maneuvering these massive trailers in tight spaces and backing them perfectly flush to the warehouse dock doors for loading/unloading.
Pay Transparency: 20.55/hr

Additional Details: shift Times: Typically begins between 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM and ends between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM . Shifts generally run for 3 to 6 hours depending on daily package volume.
