Job summary

Monterey Peninsula Country Club is seeking three PGA Assistant Golf Professional Interns for the 2027 Summer Season. Interns will support the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf with daily operations, greet members, register guests, quote totals, and complete sales transactions.

You will assist in retail areas and maintain knowledge of golf equipment while upholding core values of professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf.
• Commitment to hospitality and customer service.
• Actively pursuing a PGA Golf Management degree.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and guests with golf registration, scheduling tee times, and answering questions.
• Operate register to compute total price of guest fees, green fees, cart fees, merchandise and services and post charges to members’ accounts.
• Respond to situations requiring assistance with carts, bags, and other member-related services.
• Assist in various aspects of retail operations.
• Maintain knowledge of golf equipment and all areas of golf.
