Post-Doctoral Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, offers a 2-year Post-Doctoral Pharm.D. Fellowship in partnership with RPIF and Pfizer. Program emphasizes US/Global Medical Affairs and Oncology Medical Affairs Strategy.

The fellowship provides exposure to hematology/oncology, bladder cancer and prostate cancer. Fellows work with Medical Directors to support a broad range of Medical Affairs activities. All 3 positions are two years in length, with one year on the US team and the second year on the Global team.

University-based experiences

Professional Development Series; opportunities for collaborative research, publication, and teaching; participation/leadership in Rutgers Fellowship committees. This is a broad development opportunity across corporate and academic environments.

The RPIF Program portal opens at 12 PM ET on October 8th. Initial interviews will be conducted virtually on a rolling basis starting October 20th. To apply, candidates MUST use the RPIF website to create a RPIF Candidate Account and upload required materials by the dates noted. The process is rolling; earlier is better. See the RPIF website for recruitment information and dates.

Initial offers will not be made until December 12th, the AIFA consensus date for first offers. After interviews, candidates will be notified of their status.

Candidate checklist
  1. Create an RPIF Candidate Account starting now.
  2. Upload RPIF Application Materials to RPIF Candidate Account starting October 8, 2025.
  3. Applications are considered on a rolling basis; submit materials early. Upload Letter of Intent and CV by October 17, 2025.
  4. Begin securing letters of recommendation; all 3 must be received before a full consideration. Letters should be submitted by December 1, 2025.
  5. RPIF Representatives may schedule interviews; ensure contact information is up to date.
