Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Petroleum Supply Specialist to manage reception, storage, and shipment of petroleum products, including loading trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft, and sampling for testing. You will learn safety procedures and storage guidelines while progressing to supervisory duties.

Training includes 10 weeks Basic Training and 11 weeks Advanced Individual Training; benefits include paid training, a monthly paycheck, and tuition assistance through the Montgomery GI Bill.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com).

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock bulk and package products.
• Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units.
• Supervise and train other Soldiers as responsibilities increase.
