Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment Inc. is seeking a Petroleum Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fueling systems and related equipment. The role requires installing and wiring petroleum fueling gear, programming dispensers, and testing operations to ensure reliability.

A valid driver's license and willingness to travel 10–50% are essential. The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, on-call responsibilities, and emphasis on safety and accuracy.

• Gilbarco experience is a plus.

Petroleum Service Technician

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non - Exempt

Reports To: Service Manager

Grade/Level: Mid-Level; Construction or Petroleum Background Preferred

Amount of Travel Required: 10-50%

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm (on call)

POSITION SUMMARY

Diagnose, adjust, repair, maintain, or replace components applicable in the petroleum industry.

Essential Functions Statements

• Troubleshoot and repair fueling systems.
• Install, pipe and wire petroleum fueling equipment.
• Program electronic fuel dispensers, monitoring equipment and point of sale systems.
• Analyze electronic and mechanical issues and make correct repairs.
• Install new equipment following repair, test operation, and adjust as necessary.
• Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
• Reassemble equipment following repair, test operation, and adjust as necessary.
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Operate company vehicle.
• Record details of repairs made, and parts used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Based on customer location and work needed. Working in all-weather types.
