Job summary

Mega Saver is seeking a dependable Petroleum Technician to support safe, reliable fuel systems and equipment. You will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and ensure compliance across dispensers, tanks, pumps, piping and related equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, safety focus, and the ability to work independently outdoors while handling multiple service requests. Valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must have safety-focused approach and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
  • Prior experience with petroleum equipment, fuel stations or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests outdoors and in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain fuel dispensers, pumps, tanks, piping and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine testing of petroleum systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and fuel-system problems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and arrange repairs with contractors as needed.
  • Monitor for leaks, malfunctions, and other safety concerns; ensure compliance.
  • Assist with installation, upgrade, and replacement of petroleum equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair records.
  • Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with store management, vendors, and other technicians.
  • Keep tools and work areas clean and safe.

Description

Mega Saver is seeking a dependable and skilled Petroleum Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our fuel systems and petroleum equipment. The Petroleum Technician will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and compliance-related tasks involving fuel dispensers, underground storage tank systems, pumps, piping, and related equipment.

What You'll do as a Petroleum Technician:
  • Inspect and maintain fuel dispensers, pumps, tanks, piping, and related petroleum equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine testing of petroleum systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel-system problems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete necessary repairs or coordinate repairs with contractors.
  • Monitor fuel systems for leaks, malfunctions, and other safety concerns.
  • Assist with installation, replacement, and upgrading of petroleum equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service, inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
  • Respond to emergency equipment issues and minimize operational downtime.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable environmental and petroleum regulations.
  • Coordinate with store management, vendors, contractors, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with petroleum equipment, fuel stations, industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or mechanical repair preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment and tools as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Willingness to complete required safety and regulatory training.

Physical Requirements

This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, working in confined or outdoor areas, and lifting or carrying tools and equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be used when performing assigned duties.
