Job summary

The Coles Group, headquartered in Milan, Ohio, is seeking a Petroleum Service Technician. Responsibilities include installation, start-up, maintenance, inspection and calibration of fuel dispensing equipment, tank gauging systems, leak detection, and fleet controls.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical background, excellent customer service, and ability to work outdoors year-round. On-call weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of fuel or UST training required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic background.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine material, equipment and supplies to be used on jobs.
• Transfer equipment from one project to another as necessary.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Reassembling and test equipment following repairs.
• Record and report all faults, deficiencies, unusual occurrences and repairs made.

Some of the responsibilities include installation, start up, maintenance, inspection and calibration of fuel dispensing equipment, point of sale systems, tank gauging and monitoring systems, leak detection equipment, and fleet control systems. The right individual will have a strong work ethic and pays attention to detail, a strong mechanical and electrical/electronic background with computer experience, the ability to work independently or within a team environment, and excellent customer service skills. The position requires the ability to work outdoors year-round and work rotating on call weekends for emergencies. Duties may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
