Responsibilities

  • Document services and products sold; keep safety, sales and inventory records.
  • Transport tools, parts, equipment and tanks to customer locations.
  • Install, repair and test piping, tanks and related equipment; ensure leak-free operation.
  • Assist in other areas during peak periods.
  • Maintain safety and adhere to company policies.

Summary:

Assists in installing, testing, adjusting, and repairing petroleum equipment, regulators, and heaters on customer's establishments by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Document services and products sold. Keep accurate safety, sales and inventory records.
  • Transports tools, parts, equipment and tanks via truck to customer's place.
  • Measures, cuts, threads, and connects pipe to feeder line and installed tank. Trenches line to proper depth where appropriate. Makes necessary repairs or installations and tests equipment to insure performance.
  • Dismantles and replaces defective pipes, thermocouples, thermostats, valves, and spindles.
  • Ensures installation is safe, leak free and ready to use. Promote safety and safety programs to employees and customers.
  • Performs other petroleum related duties.
  • Assists in other areas of the business as needed during peak periods.
  • Must maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements, DOT physical and commercial insurability must be maintained at all times.
  • Must keep valid endorsements required by the industry in place at all times. CETEP training as required by industry and Heartland Co-op standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
