Job summary

Walts Petroleum Service Inc. is seeking a service technician to respond to work orders, troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed under the supervision of the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include testing equipment, disassembling and replacing worn parts, maintaining tools and vehicle, and completing electronic forms for each work order. Candidates should have post-high-school training in mechanical/electrical repair and 2–4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Post High School education in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting/repair area.
• 2-4 years' experience in service technician fields.
• Combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned service work orders and troubleshoot/repair equipment to return it to operating condition.
• Troubleshoot/inspect and test equipment upon malfunction, determine repairs and parts needed.
• Disassemble, inspect and replace worn or broken parts as needed.
• Fit and adjust new or repaired parts as requested or needed.
• Test all repaired equipment to ensure effective repairs and functionality.
• Maintain a clean work area and dispose of debris after completing work orders.
• Change filters as required and according to maintenance schedules.
• Enter notes and parts used on each work order and complete forms electronically.
