Job summary

Nwestco, LLC is looking for an experienced Petroleum Equipment / Fuel Systems Technician in Portland, OR. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fuel pumps, dispensers, tanks, and tank monitors while ensuring excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in petroleum equipment servicing.
• Certifications such as Gilbarco, Wayne, Verifone, ICC, UST/AST Operator, or HAZWOPER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on underground & aboveground tanks (UST / AST).
• Perform electrical & mechanical troubleshooting.
• Conduct preventative maintenance & repairs.
• Respond to service calls at commercial fueling sites.

Nwestco is hiring an experienced Petroleum Equipment / Fuel Systems Technician in Portland, OR to work on fuel pumps, dispensers, tanks, and tank monitors.

If you’ve worked on Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder‑Root, STPs, UST systems, or gas station equipment, this is steady, year‑round work with a solid company that keeps you busy.

Pay range starts at $25/hr and goes up based on experience and includes full benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, plus a company truck, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.

Your Mission

You’ll be out in the field working on:

• Underground & aboveground tanks (UST / AST)
• Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting
• Preventative maintenance & repairs
• Responding to service calls at commercial fueling sites

You’ll work independently but have a strong team backing you up.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience servicing fueling systems and petroleum equipment
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with tank monitors such as Veeder‑Root
• Familiarity with dispensers (Gilbarco, Wayne), STPs, and POS systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and provide strong customer service
• Certifications such as Gilbarco, Wayne, Verifone, ICC, UST/AST Operator, or HAZWOPER are a plus — but we’re willing to support continued training for the right candidate.

Before You Leap

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug‑screening and background check. This position is classified as safety‑sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
