Akumin is seeking a PET/CT technologist responsible for ensuring patient comfort and safety while producing high-quality images. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours across multiple locations.
Ideal candidates should have a certification in Nuclear Medicine and experience in patient care. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $41.00 to $53.29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure, and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way. They demonstrate technical competence by interpreting physician orders, selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters, and producing high‑quality PET/CT images that enable physicians to diagnose with pinpoint accuracy and treat with confidence. Because our techs work in a variety of environments—a freestanding outpatient center, a mobile coach, or a hospital‑based inpatient facility—their flexibility allows them to deliver the absolute best imaging care at any access point.
Exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients when working on a mobile unit.
The employee may be exposed to radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.

Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel or crawl. Climb and balance. Carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
Compensation will be determined by several factors, including internal equity, experience, education, training, specialty, location, licensing, and business needs. Pay range for this position is $41.00 – $53.29 per hour based on direct and relevant experience.
