Job summary

PetSmart is hiring a Pet Trainer in Hinesville, Georgia. As a Pet Trainer, you will engage with pet parents and their pets, enhancing their experience with training services aligned with PetSmart's values and mission.

This role requires educating pet parents on the benefits of pet training and actively selling training classes, both online and in-store. You will contribute to a safe and clean environment for classes and ensure that all aspects of training are maintained according to standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Accredited in PetSmart Training Instructor Course.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pet parent experience over phone, in person, or online.
• Actively sell training classes in store, over phone, and online.
• Educates pet parents about the benefits of the pet training curriculum.
• Maintains all paperwork related to pet training.
• Schedules training classes as outlined by the company expectations.
• Ensures a clean and presentable training area.
• Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified.
