Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the PET CT imaging team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle. You will perform PET, PET/CT and CT exams, administer radiopharmaceuticals, start IVs, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

The role requires licensure in Washington and relevant NM/CT certifications, with a focus on delivering high-quality imaging and compassionate care within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current Washington Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or PET technologist (any listed option).
• CT technologist certification or cross-credentialing preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic PET, PET/CT and CT exams using radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents.
• Operate multi-slice CT and injector with precision; start IVs and administer agents as directed.
• Provide professional patient care and ensure exceptional patient experience.
• Maintain safety standards per regulatory guidelines and department policies.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality imaging and service.

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality PET, PET/CT, and CT diagnostic services while ensuring an exceptional patient experience and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize radiopharmaceuticals as well as oral and IV contrast agents to perform a variety of diagnostic PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations.
• Operate a multi-slice CT scanner and power injector with proficiency and attention to detail.
• Start IVs and administer various contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals at the direction of the physician.
• Provide patient care services as needed in a professional, compassionate manner.
• Participate in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality care and imaging exams.
• Deliver exemplary customer service in all patient and team interactions.
• Engage fully in a collaborative team framework while maintaining a positive approach and attitude.
• Assume responsibility for designated duties or procedures as required and adhere to all safety standards in accordance with SMC policies and regulatory requirements.
