Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for dogs and cats, including baths, cuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, while ensuring pet safety and client satisfaction.

You will work with grooming equipment, maintain sanitation, train or supervise trainees when needed, and follow Petco policies. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required to align with grooming schedules.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Independent problem-solving with grooming skills and guidance as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for animals.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services per owner instructions and breed standards.
• Operate grooming instruments and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of every animal in the salon.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Keep the grooming area clean and sanitized; supervise trainees if needed.
