Job summary

Petco is hiring a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for customers' pets in a fast-paced salon. You will bathe, dry, trim and style coats, trim nails, clean ears, and monitor pet well-being while maintaining high safety standards.

Applicants should have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming experience, be detail-oriented, and possess strong customer service and communication skills. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and animal handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades and dryers.
• Ensure safety and well-being of every animal and provide customer service.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
