MG Doggies Dog Walking and Pet Sitting is seeking an enthusiastic Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team. The role focuses on exercising and caring for pets, maintaining safety, and providing companionship while outdoors and on client visits.

You will handle multiple bookings, manage varied schedules, and adapt to different weather conditions. The ideal candidate loves animals, has experience with dogs and cats, and can work remotely across multiple client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care or handling, especially with dogs and cats.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Dogs training or behavior management skills are a plus.
• Ability to endure weather and physical demands of pet care.
• Strong communication with pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Available for pet sitting in early mornings, late evenings, overnights, holidays, and weekends.
• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety.
• Maintain control of multiple dogs during walks using proper handling techniques.
• Provide basic training commands to reinforce good behavior while on walks.
• Monitor health and behavior of pets, reporting concerns to owner.
• Clean up after pets, maintain a clean environment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs' behavior and needs.
• Have supplies on hand for emergencies
• Care for clients' pets and homes with respect and integrity.
• Take photos and videos of the pets for social media purposes

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, responsible, and dependable Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team. Ideally someone with a passion for animals and the ability to manage multiple pets at a time. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy time outdoors, enjoy a flexible work schedule, and has experience with a variety of animal species. As a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets in your care while providing them with exercise and companionship.

Responsibilities:

• Available for pet sitting in early mornings, late evenings, overnights, holidays, and weekends.
• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Maintain control of multiple dogs during walks, using proper handling techniques
• Provide basic training commands to reinforce good behavior while on walks
• Monitor the health and behavior of the pets, reporting any concerns to the owner
• Clean up after the pets, maintaining a clean environment,
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dogs behavior and needs
• Have supplies on hand for any emergencies
• Care for the clients pets and homes with respect and integrity.
• Take photos and videos of the pets for social media purposes

Requirements:

* Experience in animal care or handling, particularly with dogs and cats, is preferred.

• Must be open to working weekends and holidays
• Skills in dog training or behavior management are a plus
• Ability to endure weather and physical capabilities of pet care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with pet owners
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in various weather conditions.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well being is essential
• The ability to commute to various locations and work at all different times based on bookings.
• Working weekends and holidays is required – unless specifically requested.

Pay:

$12.50 – $25.00 per hour
