Job summary

PharmaLogic in Austin, TX is seeking a PET Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily lab operations, ensuring safe, compliant production of radiopharmaceuticals. You will lead a team of technicians/chemists and coordinate production schedules under the guidance of the PET Facility Manager.

The role requires a chemistry background, PET manufacturing experience, and strong communication skills to maintain GMP compliance and drive quality in a dynamic nuclear medicine setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related technical field preferred.
• Two years of PET manufacturing experience or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with GMP manufacturing environment and FDA cGMP regulations required; molecular imaging knowledge desired.
• Experience with radiochemistry techniques, analytical methods, HPLC/GC/TLC, radiometric measures, radiochemistry synthesis, and isotopes production preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work varying shifts and be reachable at all hours.
• Dependability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in preparation of PET isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, including packaging and shipping.
• Assist facility manager in meeting financial goals and budget management.
• Oversee PET Production Technicians and PET Chemists; support QA/production communication.
• Maintain adherence to SOPs for QC release testing and regulatory compliance.
• Train site personnel and coordinate production schedules and staffing.
• Operate and maintain automated radiochemistry synthesis units.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for radiation and GMP requirements.
• Identify process improvements and assist in investigation reports.
• Maintain clean, safe lab environment and proper material control.
