Independence Pet Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a seasoned Product Analyst to support the development, performance, and competitiveness of our MGA's pet insurance portfolio. This role blends analytical rigor with industry insight to shape product strategy, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory alignment.

This position partners with Marketing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Product Portfolio, Data & Analytics, and Implementation teams to design solutions, monitor KPIs, and drive market-relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of product experience in insurance, MGA or pet insurance strongly preferred.
• Data-driven decision making and regulatory understanding for MGAs.
• Strong collaboration across multiple levels and departments.
• Independent, critical thinker with creative problem solving.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL/Python/R preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic support to Product leadership on direction, underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, and product strategies.
• Gather requirements, analyze impact, and align with broader product objectives.
• Ensure changes comply with regulatory standards for MGAs and carriers.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Actuarial, Underwriting, Product Portfolio, Data & Analytics, and Implementation teams.
• Develop training materials and marketing assets for new products.
• Monitor KPIs and conduct post-implementation analyses to inform decisions.
• Analyze competitors and market trends to benchmark and inform strategy.
• Support senior leadership with portfolio reviews and business planning.
