Job summary

Petco in the United States is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services to our customers' pets, ensuring they look and feel their best.

You'll work with a range of breeds, maintain a clean, safe grooming area, and follow Petco policies while providing exceptional customer service and guidance to pet parents. Flexible scheduling includes weekends and holidays. The role may also involve training junior teammates and using state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Prioritize safety and well-being of animals and communicate with pet parents.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and follow hygiene policies.
• Train or assist trainees when needed.
