Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services, including bathing, brushing, and trims for a variety of dog breeds. You will maintain a clean, safe salon and ensure high-quality care while interacting with pet parents and team members.

This role offers opportunities for growth within grooming leadership and mentorship tracks. Weekend, evenings, and holiday availability are required to meet store scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or prior grooming experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to problem solve with some guidance from leadership.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for animals.
• Excellent communication with pet parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, cuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort; monitor for signs of distress.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
