Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. is seeking a professional Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for dogs and cats. You will bathe, dry, brush, cut and style coats, trim nails, clean ears, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in a busy grooming salon.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or a comparable grooming training program.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Excellent grooming skills and knowledge of breed standards.
• Strong attention to detail and empathy with animals.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level grooming services: bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments and equipment.
• Prioritize animal safety and wellbeing and address concerns for pet parents and store management.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and offer grooming recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe grooming area in compliance with Petco policies.
