Job summary
Petco is seeking a dedicated Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for dogs and cats at our grooming salon. You will bathe, dry, trim, and style pets while ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for pet parents.
Ideal candidates have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco and can work weekends, evenings, and holidays. We offer competitive pay, a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and a $1,000 retention bonus after one year of
Qualifications
- Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco.
- High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
- Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving within grooming tasks.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
- Operate and maintain grooming instruments like clippers, blades, and dryers.
- Prioritize safety and well-being of pets and communicate with pet parents.
- Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
