The ideal candidate completes the in-house grooming apprenticeship or has professional grooming experience, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Excellent attention to detail and animal handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being while delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize equipment according to policy.
• Train or support trainees when needed.
• Adhere to Petco policies and grooming standards.
