Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for dogs and other companion animals in-store. You will perform baths, cuts, styling, nail trims and ear cleaning while ensuring the highest standard of safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates bring grooming program completion or extensive experience, excellent animal handling, and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Compensation ranges reflect state guidelines and Petco Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or professional grooming experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain clippers, blades, shears, brushes and dryers.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of pets and communicate with pet parents.
• Assess coat type and skin conditions to tailor grooming.
• Offer home-care recommendations to pet parents.
