Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Livermore is seeking a passionate dog grooming technician to join our premium salon. You will bathe, trim, brush, and groom dogs, while ensuring their safety and comfort in a clean, luxurious environment.

You should be comfortable with anxious animals, able to stand for long shifts and lift large dogs, and eager to learn new techniques in a supportive team. We value attention to detail and compassionate communication with pet owners.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician.
• Comfortable working with anxious animals.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to clean them and applying shampoos/conditioners as needed.
• Massaging pets to relieve stress and improve circulation.
• Brushing and combing fur to remove tangles and reduce shedding.
• Drying dogs with blow-dryers, brushes or towels.
• Grooming dogs using clippers, scissors, or electric razors.
• Trimming and filing nails.
• Shaving the dog's face, neck, tail, and legs as needed.
• Cleaning ears, eyes, paws, and teeth as needed.
• Cleaning kennels or cages to remove waste.
• Cleaning the salon floor, tables, and trash can.
• Trim nails.
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times.
• Adhere to sanitary and cleaning procedures.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners.
