Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling for a variety of breeds. You will maintain a clean, safe salon, follow grooming standards, and educate pet parents on care routines.

The role requires compassionate handling of animals and strong customer service. Requirements include successful completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training, attention to detail, and a passion for animals.

Qualifications

• Pet Stylist Apprentice program completion or grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to solve problems with some guidance.
• Strong attention to detail in grooming tasks.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services per owner instructions and breed standards.
• Operate grooming tools: clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Ensure safety and well being of all pets in the salon.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Maintain salon hygiene and sanitation per policy.
• Assist or supervise trainees when needed.
