Job summary

Nestl Purina in Crete, Nebraska, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support one of its large wet pet food manufacturing facilities. The plant runs a broad portfolio including Alpo, Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and veterinary diets.

You will maintain plant systems, troubleshoot electrical/PLC controls, and perform preventative maintenance to improve reliability. Compensation includes hourly pay, bonuses, full benefits, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree completed

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
• Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
• Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs
• Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection
