Job summary

Blain's Farm & Fleet (Blain Supply, Inc.) is seeking a Pet Department Head to lead the pet section, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient stocking. You will guide associates, handle special orders, and participate in seminars to grow the business.

The role requires effective communication, prior retail experience, willingness to work evenings and weekends, and the ability to pass a background check. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

• Provide excellent customer service and stock the pet department areas.

• Attend Seminars at Blain Supply Inc. and other locations.
• Process special orders for customers.
• Maintain accurate on-hand balances.
• Assist customers and associates with problem solving.
• Assist loss prevention as assigned.

Compensation

• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50 per hour
• Competitive base pay up to $17.50/hr

Job Duties

The Pet Department Head would perform excellent customer service and stocking the areas of the pet department, along with other assigned duties that would ensure that the customer has an efficient, pleasant shopping experience. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Perform Retail Store Clerk, Agriculture & Pet Duties
• Determine Work Assigments and assign to associates
• Train new associates
• Attend Seminars at Blain Supply Inc. and other outside locations
• Process special orders for customers
• Maintain accuruate on-hand balances
• Assist customers and associates with problem solvingAssist other departments as assigned
• Assist lost pervention as assigned

Qualifications

• Great communication skills
• Prior Retail experience preferred
• Able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Able to pass a background check
