Job summary

Centra Health is seeking a Coordinator for Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Services to perform diagnostic imaging under the radiologist's direction. The role emphasizes high-quality PET-CT image production and daily quality control of hot lab equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will manage protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, and data archiving, strictly following NRC/state licensure and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program, with required CE hours.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree.
• 6 months of experience as a PET-CT Technologist preferred.
• Current ARRT (N) or CNMT certification, CPR per AHA/Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic PET-CT / CT imaging procedures.
• Quality control of all equipment.
• Prepare and measure radiopharmaceuticals; inject radioph pharmaceuticals or IV contrast.
• Administer oral contrast; set up protocols and position patients.
• Image reconstruction, filming, and archiving transfers.
• Adhere to Radiation Safety rules; monitor NRC/State licensure compliance.
• Collect patient information; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Complete documentation and comply with hospital safety rules.

Under the clinical direction of a Radiologist, the Coordinator of Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Services and the Director of Radiology, performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsible for the daily Quality Control of all Hot Lab and Imaging Equipment. The technologist must use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure in a manner that they are calm and comfortable prior to being injected for the procedure. They display their technical competence by effectively producing high-quality PET-CT images.

• Adhere to all Radiation Safety rules to provide a safe environment. Survey department areas and record readings.
• Collect patient clinical information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains proper documentation in accordance with NRC / State licensure requirements.
• Adheres to and performs in accordance with hospital rules and regulations related to fire, safety and emergency codes.
• May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program. Completed required hours of continuing education
• Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
• Required Experience: 6 months of experience as a PET-CT Technologist
• Required Certifications and Licensures: Current ARRT (N) or CNMT certification. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Preferred Certifications and Licensures: CNMT (PET) ARRT (N)(CT) CNMT (CT)

Salary Range: $33.79 - $50.68/Hourly Rate
