Job summary

Jackson HealthPros in Reston, VA is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for a permanent, full-time position at our outpatient facility. The PET Technologist will operate PET/CT equipment to produce diagnostic images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient conditions.

This 40-hour week is Monday through Friday with four 10-hour shifts and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registration with NMTCB or ARRT (or equivalent).
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of PET/Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• New graduates may be considered with proficiency within six months.
• PET certification preferred.
• Virginia license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET/CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes for physician use.
• Support physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Job description

We’re seeking a PET/CT Technologist for a permanent role in Reston, VA at an outpatient facility. The PET Technologist will operate Positron Emission Tomography equipment to produce diagnostic images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient conditions. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with four 10-hour shifts. No weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), or equivalent.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of PET/Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• New graduates will be considered if able to achieve proficiency within six months.
• PET certification preferred.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet agency or facility requirements for operation of PET/CT equipment and safe handling of radioactive materials.
