Description

We are seeking a PET/CT Technologist to work in Seaford, DE, one day a week. The technologist will operate scanning equipment to produce diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues, helping determine their functioning. A high level of knowledge in positron emission tomography is required, along with a dedication to producing accurate, safe, and effective results. Flexibility to support other regions as needed is also required, with route assignments subject to change based on business needs.

Essential Duties

• Utilize radiopharmaceuticals, oral, and IV contrast agents for PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations.
• Provide quality patient care, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure smooth imaging processes and high-quality images.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1-year related experience/training.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently.
• Ability to follow instructions under stress.
• Strong bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in PC use, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• CNMT or RT (N), CPR certification, and other required certifications, to be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs.
• Push, pull wheelchairs, and move non-ambulatory patients.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
