Job summary

Radiology Forward is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to perform high quality nuclear medicine imaging with patient-centered care. You will ensure proper radionuclide dosing and guide patients through procedures with clear explanations.

Responsibilities include safeguarding PHI and medications, maintaining professionalism, and building collaborative relationships within a team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Must hold ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Venipuncture certification/permit required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or PET/CT images with excellent patient care.
  • Ensure correct radionuclide doses are ordered for each patient.
  • Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and guide them through exams.
  • Safeguard patient property and Protected Health Information.
  • Safeguard medications on site according to policies and laws.
  • Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, respecting boundaries.
  • Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in clinical settings.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

When you join us as a PET/ CT Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:
  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  • Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have BLS certification
  • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
