Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET-CT Technologist for its Arizona facilities on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include patient safety, image production, and collaboration with radiologists.

The role requires NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, CPR, and the ability to work at multiple locations, with strong customer service and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine NMTCB or ARRT(N) required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license where applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique; manage radiation safety and documentation for radioactive materials.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PC staff.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).

Position

We are currently hiring for a PET‑CT Technologist at our Arizona facilities. This will be a part‑time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre‑screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PC's.
• Trouble‑shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license (as applicable).
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 1‑2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.
