Responsibilities
  1. Perform high-quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  2. Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  3. Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through the process and answering questions.
  4. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  5. Safeguard patient property and health information, including medications and financial data.
  6. Maintain professional behavior and respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
  7. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
  1. Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  2. High school diploma or GED.
  3. BLS certification.
  4. Venipuncture certification/permit.
