Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a Travel PET/CT Technologist in New York for a 13-week engagement with a Monday–Friday schedule. The role involves performing PET/CT imaging, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and delivering high-quality diagnostic results in a patient-focused setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, PET/CT proficiency, and CT certification. ARRT NM credentials are preferred, with no weekends or holidays required and a potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in PET/CT imaging.
• PET/CT experience required.
• CT Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders prior to procedures.
• Educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
• Position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Analyze imaging results and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocol.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as needed.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of equipment.

Travel PET/CT Technologist (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
Location: New York
Pay: $3,200 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Shifts vary: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
No weekends, no call, no holidays

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PET/CT Technologist with strong Nuclear Medicine experience for a weekday-only assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing PET/CT imaging procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review patient history and physician orders prior to procedures
• Educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Analyze imaging results and troubleshoot quality issues
• Administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocol
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as needed
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• PET/CT experience required
• CT Certification required
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and protocols

Certifications:

• ARRT (CT)
• NMTCB (CT) or CNMT certification
• RT (NM) through ARRT accepted
• BLS (AHA required)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with GE PET or Philips PET scanners
