Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Psychiatric unit. The role requires crisis intervention skills, ensuring patient placement by age and clinical need, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and nurses.

Responsibilities include assessing patients in the ED and throughout the unit, following LPS guidelines, and coordinating referrals as needed to ensure safe and effective care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• LPS certification preferred or must obtain prior to employment.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain.
• DMH certification required for 5150 detention.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Must have current valid license as a Registered Nurse, LPT, PST, MFT, or LCSW issued by the State.
• LPS certification preferred or needs to obtain this prior to commencement of employment.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum two (3) years experience in an Inpatient Psychiatric unit.
• DMH certification required for 5150 detention.

Pay Transparency

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation rate for this role is $44.63. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
