Job summary

Destination Pet, LLC in Louisville, CO is hiring a Lead Animal Care Attendant to guide daily care for our canine guests and support the team across shifts.

You’ll supervise pet safety, assist with meds, feeding, baths, and grooming, and train new staff while staying calm under pressure.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, prior animal-care experience, and CPR training; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous animal care experience required.
• Medication administration experience preferred.
• CPR training is a big plus.
• Ability to lead and support teammates under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pack during shifts, coaching and setting the tone for care.
• Oversee pet safety, cleanliness, and daily care for dogs.
• Train new hires on handling, procedures, and safety.
• Monitor health and behavior, reporting concerns to management.
• Assist with feeding, water, meds, bathing, and grooming tasks.
