Job summary

CareVet University Animal Clinic in Odessa, TX seeks a Kennel Tech to provide daily care for boarded pets, including feeding, bathing, walking, and monitoring behavior. You will support kennel and facility maintenance while interacting with clients and the clinical team to ensure excellent pet care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, some animal experience, and a customer-service attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience with animals preferred.
• Customer service attitude is essential.
• Good organizational skills and teamwork.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must lift 50 lbs or more and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Daily care for boarded animals, including feeding and exercise.
• Bathing, grooming, walking, monitoring behavior, and administering meds as needed.
• Nail trims, expressing anal glands and basic care tasks.
• Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning.
• Report changes in health or behavior to Vet/Manager.
• Maintain animal records such as weight and treatments.
• Interact with clients to provide updates on pets.
• Washing, drying, and folding laundry as required.
