PetVet Care Centers' Argyle Veterinary Hospital in Denton County, TX is hiring a Kennel Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks including animal care, feeding, exercising, and handling pets. You will help maintain a clean and safe hospital environment, follow instructions, and communicate health recommendations to clients.

Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and some kennel or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent combinations of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered.
• Some kennel or animal hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to work with sick animals, cleaning chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pets.
• Assist Veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and sanitize cages, runs, and equipment.
• Feed animals as directed; record appetite, water intake, and eliminations.
• Walk and exercise patients; communicate health needs to clients.
• Learn and convey our services and health recommendations to clients.
