Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in Commack, NY is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative to provide a welcoming and educational experience for clients and their pets. This full-time role requires 30-40 hours per week, including some weekends and holidays.

You will greet clients, enter and maintain medical records, process payments, schedule appointments, and assist with dispensing pharmaceuticals as needed, contributing to a positive client experience and smooth hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Veterinary hospital experience is preferred, however not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Communicating via phone, email, and in person with clients and actively listening to their concerns.
• Entering client/patient information and maintaining medical records.
• Processing client payments and invoices.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Dispensing pharmaceuticals as needed and calling in prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Other administrative duties as needed.
