Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is hiring an Animal Care Attendant in Texas. You will be on your feet, providing affectionate care to pets, feeding, cleaning enclosures, and assisting with grooming tasks. A background in kennel or animal care is a plus, but enthusiasm and reliability are key.

The role requires standing and lifting up to 40 lbs, with shifts in evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer Perks & Pay including Telehealth, 401K, and Pet Insurance.

Qualifications

• Must love animals and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor health, happiness, and well‑being of each pet guest.
• Report any unusual observations to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise playtime and assist with enrichment activities.
• Assist with brushing and bath time for pets.
• Handle laundry and keep pet belongings clean and organized.
