Job summary

Rae-Zor Grooming Boarding Daycare is hiring a part-time Pet Care Attendant to care for our patients and support a fun-loving team. You will help provide comfort to animals, keep kennels clean, and assist with daily care while working with a friendly group of colleagues.

This position offers hands-on animal care, opportunities for growth, and a schedule that includes weekday afternoons and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routine animal care, such as feeding and walking; pet care or kennel experience is a plus but not required
• Comfort working around nervous or anxious animals
• A patient, caring personality
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
• The ability to follow instructions carefully and stay organized
• A customer service background is a plus
• Passion and eagerness to grow and learn
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs and being on your feet for your shift

Responsibilities

• Feed, walk, and provide routine care for patients and boarding pets
• Comfort and gently handle nervous or anxious animals
• Clean runs and keep the kennel area organized and free of safety hazards
• Clean outdoor play areas and equipment
• Observe animal behavior and health conditions and report any changes to the management team
