Job summary

Destination Pet in Charleston, SC is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for part-time, flexible hours. You will care for dogs and other pets, keep areas clean, feed guests, and help with grooming and playtime.

The role requires staying on your feet, lifting up to 40 lbs, and availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior kennel experience is a plus, but eager learners are welcome.

Qualifications

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but brand new applicants are welcome.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• On-your-feet, hands-on job that can be a bit sweaty at times.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas spotless and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor health, happiness, and wellbeing of each guest.
• Report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise playtime and assist with brushing and bath time.
• Handle laundry and belongings to keep every pet comfortable.
