Job summary

Great Bay Doggie Daycare in Durham, NH, is seeking a full-time Doggie Daycare Attendant to supervise dogs, lead activities, and ensure safety in an active indoor-outdoor setting.

Ideal candidates have prior dog daycare or barn experience, understand dog body language, and can stay on their feet for long periods. A friendly, team-oriented attitude and strong safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous dog daycare and/or equine/barn experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dog body language and behavior.
• Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong safety awareness in animal care.
• Customer service skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during group play and daycare activities.
• Provide appropriate exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation.
• Monitor dog interactions, behavior, and body language closely.
• Recognize signs of stress or escalating behavior and respond appropriately.
• Maintain a safe and controlled environment for every dog in our care.
• Keep daycare areas, equipment, and shared spaces clean and organized.
• Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and general facility responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with teammates about behavior, safety, and care needs.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service when interacting with pet owners.
• Jump in wherever needed to help the team and daycare day run smoothly.

What Our Doggie Daycare Attendants Do
