Job summary

Penn State Extension, part of Penn State University, is seeking a Pesticide Education Specialist to join our nationally recognized Pesticide Education Program. The role focuses on identifying educational objectives, developing materials, and presenting at events to support these goals throughout the state.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create and develop pesticide safety presentations for statewide use by the Program and county extension educators; present at certification and recertification trainings.
• Review and revise pesticide applicator materials and create accompanying exam questions; aim to increase water quality and food safety and decrease human exposure.
• Familiarize with federal and state laws and regulations governing pesticides.
• Develop audio-visual programs, multimedia projects, and support social media and web presence.
