Job summary

Clark Pest Control in Visalia, CA is seeking Pest Service Technicians to protect homes and yards from pests on residential routes. You will perform inspections, apply treatments, and provide customer service while documenting work progress.

No experience is required; a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a pesticide license within 90 days are necessary. We offer paid training, a company vehicle, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No Experience Required for entry.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain the pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Serve and protect homes and surrounding environments from pests on residential accounts.
• Inspect structures to determine presence and severity of infestations; assess damage.
• Create diagrams showing infestation locations and extent.
• Discuss work to be accomplished with homeowners and provide sales solicitations.
• Coordinate with department staff and submit paperwork daily.
• Perform administrative tasks as directed, including ordering equipment and reporting.
• Determine costs, estimate crew time, and schedule work.
• Receive and account for company funds collected during business activities.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment in safe, clean condition.

Responsibilities

We are seeking ambitious and energetic Pest Service Technicians that enjoy working independently outdoors to service and protect homes and their surrounding environments from unwanted pest activity. The Pest Control industry is not exactly what it may seem. Pest Control is more of a maintenance program to ensure that our customers don’t suffer from reoccurring pest activity. Like electricians or HVAC technicians, our ultimate goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of the customers that we serve.

What You’ll Do

• Controlling pests, weeds, lawn fertilization, tree/shrub care and other agricultural pests on-site in a variety of residential accounts.
• Physically inspecting a variety of residential structures to determine the presence of pests; calculating the severity of infestations and the degree of structural damage.
• Creating diagrams and graphs indicating the type, degree and location of infestations.
• Discussing with residential customers to discuss work to be accomplished and provide creative sales solicitations
• Coordinating activities with the department secretaries and other branch personnel and submitting all paperwork and collections on a daily basis
• Performing other administrative tasks at the supervisor's direction, including ordering equipment and supplies, compiling and submitting a variety of reports, and calling customers regarding client callbacks and stopped service.
• Determining the costs, estimating the crew time and scheduling work.
• Receiving and properly accounting for company funds collected during the course of business activities.
• Maintaining company issued equipment and vehicle in a clean and safe condition at all times.
