Job summary

Rentokil is seeking a Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management, inspect properties, identify pests, and apply treatments safely in a customer-facing role. You will explain prevention strategies and maintain equipment, while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by regulations (Rentokil covers).
• Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed.
• Customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills to follow mixing instructions on product labels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to eliminate pests safely.
• Educate customers on prevention methods and reducing future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and upsell products to current and new customers.
• Maintain pest control equipment, ensure supplies are stocked, and operate safely.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.
