Job summary

Turner Pest Control is hiring a Pest Control Technician in Florida. You will travel to customer locations, assess pest problems, and implement specialized treatment plans while building long-term relationships through exceptional service.

You must be physically able to move, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in various weather, and maintain a flexible schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some weekends. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule (7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.), including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Travel to appointments and meet with customers to assess pest problems.
• Execute specialized treatment plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Build long-term relationships through honesty, empathy and strong service.
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely while following PPE requirements.

What You'll Do...

As a Pest Control Technician, you'll spend your day helping other people in the community by solving their pest issues and building long-term relationships via honesty, empathy, and outstanding customer service. You'll spend your day traveling to appointments and meeting with customers to assess pest problems in and around their homes and workplaces and executing specialized treatment plans. You will seek to solve existing pest problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent issues.

What does it take to be a successful Pest Control Technician at Turner Pest Control? For starters, you'll be enthusiastic and dedicated with a keen eye for detail and love of customer service. You'll also have...

• The ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces
• The ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• The ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions
• The flexibility to assist in various service departments within the branch as needed
• Basic math skills to measure and mix product applications accurately
• The ability to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment safely
• The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases
• Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
• Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record
• The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Good oral and written communication
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.)
• Availability to work some weekends
• High school degree or equivalent
